Sherwood Airgunners Match Report 6-28-26

Sherwood Airgunners had their monthly field Target match Sunday June 28,2026. We had 15 shooters in attendance with one of those Tom Sparks shooting his first ever FT match. We shot the Highlands course and conditions were dark and overcast with a bit of fog from some overnite rain with little wind but very humid muggy conditions. Temps got up to the low 80s. The course was set at a 34 Troyer difficulty rating with 16 targets set over 40 yds, 5 of those over 50 yds. With most GPs setting there courses at a 34T this is going to be our new normal course setting.

We had 9 competitors shoot Hunter PCP where Steve Hockenberry came out on top with a 50/55, nice shooting Steve. Doug Cunningham and Ryan Spanagel tied for 2nd and winner was decided by the number of cleaned lanes. So Doug got 2nd and Ryan 3rd.

In WFTF PCP Lucas Marusiak top the group shooting a 54/60, nice shooting Lucas!

Two other categories were represented with Nick Lawrence shooting a 23/60 in Hunter Piston and Keith Walters in Open PCP shooting a match high score of 57/60.

I'd like give a special mention to Tom Sparks shooting his first match with a 32/60…that's a very good first match score and I'm sure we will see that go up as Tom attends more matches.
